Miss Spears, now 27, peeled off down to a pair of rose petals for the single Gimme More in 2007, although the scenes were considered too adult for the final cut.

According to contactmusic.com, the song If You Seek Amy seems harmless on the surface, but some mothers were angry when they heard their children singing the lines. They claim the lyrics spell out ‘F*** me’ and that Spears is courting controversyThey felt as astonished and totally taken aback when they heard their kids walking around the house singing ‘F***’.” It was Britney Spears's song . Britney Spears has swept the board at the MTV Video Music Awards show in Los Angeles, collecting three prizes for her track Piece of Me.

She had been nominated for MTV video awards 16 times before but had never won.

Born on 2 December 1981 in the small town of Kentwood, Louisiana, to parents Jamie and Lynne Spears, Britney is their second child of three. Her older brother Brian was born in April 1977 and her younger sister, Jamie-Lynn was born in April 1991. From a young age, Britney was always fixing to be a star with idols such as Madonna, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, the young Britney could always be heard singing, no matter what else was going on around her. After taking extensive dance and vocal lessons and performing in numerous talent shows and fairs, Britney auditioned for _"The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989 TV series) [1989-1994]"_ when she 8, however she was too young to get the part. Appealing to young girls, teenage boys and older men, Britney was on her way, yet nobody could have predicted at that time the impact she would have on Pop Culture. The second single, "Sometimes" was released in June 1999 followed on by the top 10 hit "Crazy" in September and "from the bottom of my broken heart" soon after. Britney ended 1999 selling over 10 million copies of her debut and as the Billboard Top Female Pop Artist (singles and albums), Top New Pop Artist, Top Billboard 200 album Artist and Top 100 singles Artist - female. The American Awards, MTV and Teen Choice awards soon began rolling in and in early 2000 Britney was nominated for two Grammy awards.

"Extra" has confirmed that pop princess Britney Spears checked into rehab late Tuesday morning at the urging of her concerned family and friends.

Britney is seeking help at Malibu’s exclusive treatment facility, Promises.

“Extra” recently got an exclusive tour of Promises, where patients share a room during their average 45-day stay.

Promises founder Richard Rogg told us that patients are at a very low point when they seek help.

“You have to hit a mental, spiritual, emotional kind of bottom,” Rogg said. “It’s that place where you are too afraid to go on living and too afraid to die.”

This breaking news comes just days after Britney shaved her head, and on Monday, “Extra” discovered new clues that may explain why Brit gave herself a buzz cut.

According to a stunning new report in OK magazine, Kevin Federline was at the pop star’s Malibu mansion on Friday when she arrived home from rehab, and a blowout between the exes broke out.

“They had a huge argument,” revealed OK’s Rob Shuter. “Kevin threatened Britney that he was going to have people test her hair to find out exactly what she’s been up to. She was so scared. That was what made her have her head shaved.”

We have also learned where Britney fled to Friday night after daring to go bald; she reportedly showed up at L.A.’s chic Mondrian Hotel in an electric blue wig.

Sources revealed that Brit was seen shaving her legs at the pool and crying after she was refused a room.

“She didn't have any credit cards, she didn't have any cash… I don’t even believe she had any I.D.,” dished US Weekly’s Katrina Szish.

Szish added that Brit’s bizarre behavior was noted by the staffers who dished, “she was depressed and confused.”

“The general consensus is we’re seeing Britney have a breakdown before our very eyes,” Szish told us.

After Britney’s sudden downward spiral, her friend JC Chasez expressed his concern from across the Atlantic.

“I feel bad for her,” JC said to MTV U.K. “I’ve known her since she was 12 years old; she’s one of the sweetest people you've ever met."

Chavez also pointed out, “A divorce at age 25 is never going to be easy; the one person she trusted more than anybody in the world is not with her anymore.”

Former Assistant Urges Britney to "Get Help"

Felicia Culotta, the 41-year-old former assistant to Britney Spears is reportedly sending a heartfelt plea to her old boss to cut the crap and get back on track.

Below is an excerpt from a letter from Culotta:

I LOVED being with Britney for the past 9 1/2 years. I enjoyed being a part of HER dream, but now, am living my own dream. I cherish ALL the incredible opportunities that came my way thru my job with Britney and am crushed/saddened/heart sick by the way her life is unfolding…I want you to know that WE (as in her Family and nearest and dearest—ALL of whom are NOT on the payroll anymore!!) are doing EVERYTHING in our power to get help for Britney and all in our power to NOT pad the bottom or move the bottom, so when she does indeed hit rock bottom, she’ll stand up and walk away from this whole fiasco a new, confident, changed, career driven Britney like we all knew and loved.

Britney Spears: Being Single Is 'Awesome'

Britney Spears doesn't miss being married. When asked by PEOPLE in New York on Friday how she likes being single, the pop star, who filed for divorce from Kevin Federline on Nov. 7, said: "It's awesome."

Spears grabbed the spotlight Friday while at the fashion show for Baby Phat by Kimora Lee Simmons and KLS Collection Fall 2007, which was held at the Roseland Ballroom in conjunction with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Wearing a slinky black spaghetti-strapped dress and black peek-a-boo pumps, Spears posed for photographers upon her arrival, and was escorted to her front-row seat just moments before the show started. As the models strutted on an elevated stage wearing sexy tweed outfits, double-breasted winter coats and big fur hats for the show entitled "From Russia with Love," Spears chatted at times with her assistant. She applauded with the rest of the crowd when model Alek Wek flaunted a colorful halter dress that dragged on the floor in the back but was a mini-dress in the front. "Oh my god," said Spears.

After the show, Spears told PEOPLE of the collection: "It was amazing." Kimora Lee Simmons, who was backstage after the show, said of Spears: "Sometimes she gets a hard rap...[But] she is a very talented girl."
